We all deal with stress on a daily basis, some more than others. Where does stress come from? My experience shows me it comes from problems, situations or events in our life pressing down on us and situations that have not occurred yet but we focus on which causes us stress. The good news is that there is an effective way to deal with the stress that is present in your, like anything else you have to work at it and practice for it to work.
The technique that I will share with you has helped countless number of people, it so simple that most people write it off as nothing, until they try it and then they are blown away with the results.
The Problem Pulverizer
Grab a piece of paper and a pen, it’s time to get to work, draw a graph with 4 headings across the top and 10 rows going down the page.
The headers you will label:
1st Header: Problem 2nd Header: Real or Possible 3rd Header: Solution/No Solution 4th Header: Action Time Table
Here’s how the Problem Pulverizer works, you start by putting your first problem in the table, let’s use an example of a flat tire, you woke this morning get to your car to go to work and you notice the flat tire. Knowing this could add a little stress to your day you pull out the Problem Pulverizer and in the first column you write: Flat Tire, the next column under Real or Possible: you write real you can actually see the flat, the third column under Solution/No Solution you write the solution: put spare tire in place of the flat tire. Under Action Time Table you write: Do it now.
Here’s Why it Works
Most people’s heads are loaded with all the real problems of the day, not to mention the things we think will be problems but may never even happen. By using this table you’ll be able to identify a few very important factors that will help dissolve stress.
Factor #1: You will be able to identify the problem – once a problem is identified it becomes easier to fix.
Factor #2: You will be able to identify whether the problem is real – 100% positive that it will happen or is happening now- or if the problem is just a possibility – something that may or may not happen.
Factor #3: You will be able to decide if there is a solution and if so, then you will be able to identify the best solution and if there is no solution available.
Factor #4: You will be able to identify the best time to put the solution into action which will Pulverize the Problem – hence the name.
Each heading is extremely powerful because it leads you to the next heading and each time you move to the next column the stress levels begin to drop because you know you are getting close to the solution.
The Biggest Hang Up
Most of the time us humans are consumed with the possibilities of what could happen, which plays over and over in our minds like an old movie re-run, by identifying if there is a solution will wipe those thoughts from your mind. You will need to be conscious when then old re-run trys to start up again and then simply say to yourself:” There’s nothing I can do so I will no longer think about it”.
My Advise is to scratch all of the problems that have no solution, off of the Problem Pulverizer, it will help to wipe it out of your thoughts.
